Gone are those good old days when you have just one Post Office address or(and) one phone number to keep up with your contacts. Now, the number of technologies we have to keep up with is ever increasing.
It is common now to have at least two numbers one from CDMA technology (i.e visafone, starcomms, reltel or multilinks) another from GSM technology (MTN, GLO, ZAIN, ETISALAT), two seems to be the standard but some folks go overboard to have two or all of each technology.
Leaving the mobile platform and moving on to web, i’m yet to see one with just one email accounts..it is no big thing to have an account or accounts in case of some folks with email service provider (yahoo, gmail, hotmail…). This is not inclusive of the different accounts we have with other web services such as facebook, hi5, badoo.. the list keeps counting.
To many technologies to check.. i long for the good old days that if i check the Post Office box or the Nitel landline and there is no message.. then there is no message.

When i was quite young, I have had this trouble deciding on what I want to do.
At age 5:
I wanted to be a doctor guess i fancied playing doctors to all the kids around me.
At age 8-9:
I changed my path to be an Engineer, guess I love to build things.
At age 10-12:
I wanted to be a Bank robber, I watched all the films I could lay my hands on especially those with more guns in it. I guess then and even now the appeal of a movie to me was a function of the number of guns in the film and the fighting scene in it. (I guess it still holds now)
At age 15:
I wanted to be a hacker, I just found out that i cant grow more muscle than what I currently have (..I could not cope with the self taught training). Hacking computer network seem to be the way to go. I guess i can still be rich but I have to go about it more smartly…the era of swords, guns and fighting seems to have gone with the days of the roman empire and gladiators.
At age 17:
I realized that hacking and being an engineer seems to go together.. guess i can still find a job if i don’t succeed hacking..
Now:
I am an engineer now, i don’t know if i can hack..i’m certainly not a doctor, neither a bank robber or a soldier…but still i have not found the answer yet..
If I was asked what do i want to be..I guess i will just say I’ll to go with the flow..then reflect on my decision 30 years from now.
